![]() Ed Ed has been a professional trumpet player since he was 16 (quite a few years ago to say the least). He has performed as a lead trumpet player and jazz soloist with the grammy nominated band Kinesis, Earth, Wind and Fire, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, Olivia Newton John, Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Doc Severinson, Natalie Cole, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Burt Bacharach, Blood Sweat and Tears, Aretha Franklin, Joey Heatherton, Sammy Davis Junior, Tom Jones, Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Pat Metheny, Spyro Gyra, and in large "Vegas style orchestras" in Reno, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Honolulu. He can be heard on numerous recordings and movie soundtracks and he has produced music for many television shows and albums. He must be a little crazy, because he has been hurting his brain playing high notes for over 30 years. After the Fire is a great outlet and does great work as musical philanthropists, so Ed loves the chance to give back to the community and enjoy some fun with a great group of local musicians. It also is a great break from engineering, marketing and strategic planning, his day gig these days.

He was assigned to the Navy Band in Newport Rhode Island where he toured New England, in a Rock Band Called ?Long Island Sound?. While in college at NDSU in Fargo ND he joined a local blues band named "Sac Le Bleu" (name inspired by the Blues Brothers first album). This band was his first chance to play R&B music and begin transcribing and arranging horn charts. These opportunities continued in other bands after college. "After the Fire" has allowed him to take his transcribing, arranging and playing to a higher level with a fun group of very talented musicians and also return something to the community. Mike also currently plays in the Loveland Concert Band, the "Just For Kicks" big band, and various other groups/venues in Colorado when not working at his "day job" designing software applications for the Hewlett Packard Company. ![]() Cliff Cliff Fiske, former lead singer of "Spirit and Truth" comes from a family of very talented musicians.
